New Delhi, India's COVID-19 tally rose to 10,031,223 on Sunday as 26,624 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, said the latest data from the federal health ministry.
According to the data, the death toll mounted to 145,477 as 341 more COVID-19 patients died since Saturday morning. There are still 305,344 active cases in the country, while 9,580,402 people have been discharged so far from hospitals after medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the federal government has ramped up COVID-19 testing facilities across the country. As many as 161,198,195 tests were conducted till Saturday, out of which 1,107,681 tests were conducted on Saturday alone, said the latest data issued by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Sunday.
Delhi has been one of the most COVID-19 affected places in the country. As many as 1,139 new cases and 32 deaths were registered in the national capital on Saturday. So far 10,251 people have died in the national capital due to COVID-19, confirmed Delhi's health department. Enditem
